Anne­ - Carolyn is originally German and is now living in Norway. She completed her song studies at the Kölner Musikhochschule in 1999. She is known for her wide repertoire as an opera and concert singer with a range from Cavalli to contemporary composers. She has a special love of Lieder and romances and gives regular recitals in Germany, China, Iceland and Norway.. Anne­ - Carolyn has worked with the conductor Colin Davies, and toured with Claudio Abbado at various opera houses and festivals. In church music she has worked with Helmuth Rilling in works ranging from Claudio Monteverdi to Wolfgang Rihm. She has also sung with Konrad Junghändl, Sir Roger Norrington and Celso Antunes, among others. In 2009 she interpreted the part of the wood nymph in Dvoraks Rusalka at The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet in Bjørvika. Anne­Carolyn has contributed to recordings such as The Magic Flute with Claudio Abbado (Deutsche Grammophon) and the prize-winning recording of Frank Schreckers «Das Spielwerk und die Prinzessin». At the Oslo Chamber Music Festival she can be heard in the St. Matthew Passion in Oslo Cathedral.
