The album Who We Are is a groundbreaking collaboration between saxophonist/composer Marius Neset and pianist Leif Ove Andsnes, two of the world’s foremost artists in jazz and classical music. Coming from different musical traditions, Neset and Andsnes typically work within different stylistic frameworks. But with Neset’s original compositions and their electrifying interplay, jazz and classical idioms intertwine to create music that is not easily categorized. Joining them on stage are Ingrid Søfteland Neset, an acclaimed flutist known for her performances with the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, and Louisa Tuck, principal cellist of the Oslo Philharmonic and an accomplished soloist.
